Police track missing man’s movements to near Redbull Park in Hulhumale’

The young man reported missing from Hulhumale’ Phase II was seen returning to the area in Phase I where the guesthouse he had been staying in is located, according to the police.

Mohamed Azhan, 27, H. Bondikandholhuge, K. Male’, was reported missing to the police on Monday, September 19.

Police said Sunday evening that Azhan was last seen near the Redbull Park located in Hulhumale’ Phase I at approximately 06:00 am September 18.

Police have tracked Azhan’s movements from his guesthouse to H13 in the Hiyaa projects, and back to the area where the guesthouse his located at approximately 04:53 am September 18.

He traveled to and from H13 in taxis.

Police said they have identified the drivers of both taxis.

Police said they are reviewing CCTV footage from near the Redbull Park, where he was last seen.

Immigration records do not show he travelled within or outside Maldives, said the police.

Police have asked for anyone with information regarding Azhan’s whereabouts to call the Hulhumale’ Phase II Investigation Department at 9393351, or the police hotline at 3322111.

Police took the opportunity to thank the public for their assistance in such matters.
