Bank of Maldives, on Friday night, awards certificates to successful graduates of its ‘Graduate Internship Program’.
At a special ceremony held at Hotel Jen tonight, certificates were presented to 30 students who completed the program during the last two years.
Apart from this, the bank also announced the continuation of the program for the fourth year at tonight’s ceremony – presenting award letters to 15 new selectees.
Speaking at the ceremony, BML’s acting-Managing Director Aishath Noordeen said that 80 percent of the participants of the program progressed to work as full-time employees at the bank and other institutions after the completion of the program.
“This program has helped us nurture fresh graduates to gain valuable job experience. We can proudly say that 80% of individuals progressed to work as full-time employees at the Bank and other institutions after the completion of the program. We continue our efforts to retain talent and offer opportunities for growth,” she had said.
She also underscored the hard work of BML’s staff behind their successes.
In BML’s one-year duration internship program – interns will be given key performance objectives at the beginning. All interns will also be assigned a line manager and mentor. They will also have the opportunity to partake in trainings conducted by Bank’s Learning and Development Department throughout the program.
Interns will receive an allowance of MVR 6,000 per month and will be eligible for Ramadan bonus. They will also be allowed 15 days of annual paid leave and 10 days for medical and family emergencies.
