First Lady inaugurates ABWCI Maldives branch

First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Saturday inaugurated the Maldives branch of the Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry (ABWCI).

The platform was inaugurated during a special ceremony held at the Maldives Center for Social Education (MCSE).

The ABWCI platform is dedicated to the economic empowerment of women in business. Its membership in the virtual global chamber of commerce spans some of the most prominent women entrepreneurs, organisations, educational institutions, and companies investing in women.

With the aim to understand the needs of the future in the context of women's entrepreneurship, ABWCI is responsive to the challenges faced by female entrepreneurs and assists them in the global economy.

After the inauguration ceremony, the First Lady visited a handicraft exhibition on the MCSE grounds as well.
