Villa slashes price of cement

Villa Hakatha has announced a reduction in the price of cement imported and distributed by the company.

An official from Villa Hakatha said they reduced the price of cement as they had chartered a pneumatic cement carrier for long term use to import cement.

“The 12,000-ton ship has begun operations. The boat will ensure a steady stock,” said the official.

Villa Hakatha has reduced both the wholesale and retail price of cement.

Villa cement is used by a number of construction companies in Maldives. The bags used to back the cement is made with environment-friendly material, protecting it from water and humidity.
