Dr. Shanoora appointed as the new dean of MNU’s Health Science Faculty

Dr. Aishath Shanoora, on Wednesday, has been appointed has the new dean of Maldives National University’s (MNU) Faculty of Heath Sciences.

At a special ceremony held at MNU this morning, Dr. Shanoora was officially handed over the post.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Shanoona said that she will always exercise her duties with how much of a big responsivity she has been handed over in mind.

She assured that she will always work towards taking the Health Science Faculty to new heights.

“This is very important day for me during my career at MNU. While I have accepted a post filled with responsibilities – I have my goals I want to achieve in order to ensure a brighter future for Health Science. I will always remain committed to achieve this,” she had said.

Dr. Shanoora holds a PhD from Social and Psychology. She also completed a Post Graduate Diploma on Research Studies.

Dr. Shanoona also has a Masters in Counseling and a Professional Diploma in Teacher Education.

Prior to her appointment as the dean of Health Science Faculty – she has held other posts at the faculty including a lecturer and an assistant professor.
