Iskandar school teacher arrested for sexual abuse of student

A teacher at Iskandar School teacher has been arrested for sexual abuse of a student of the same gender. 

According to Maldives Police Service revealed that the authority received reports on July 11 of an incident of a 15-year-old boy being sexually harrassed. 

Additionally, Police revealed that a 52-year-old Indian male was arrested on July 12. 

The man was summoned on the same day to make a decision regarding his remand. 

During the hearing, he was sentenced to be remanded until the end of the trial. 

The case is under further investigation, said Police.
