IGMH: Woman who fell from Hulhumale’ building doing well

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) states that the young woman who sustained injuries after falling from a building in Hulhumale’ last weekend was doing well.

The young woman, identified by police as a 22-year-old Maldivian, fell from the third floor of a flat in Hulhumale’ Phase I at approximately 05:30 pm on Saturday.

She was initially treated at the Hulhumale’ Hospital, before being transferred to IGMH in Male’ City.

“The patient was transferred to IGMH for additional treatment at approximately 09:30 last night,” said a spokesperson from Hulhumale’ Hospital.

A spokesperson from IGMH said the young woman was doing well, and was being treated at the ward.

“The patient is doing well. She is being treated at the ward. We cannot release details regarding the patient’s condition,” said the spokesperson.
