Ooredoo grabs three wins at Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards 2022

Local telecom giant, Ooredoo Maldives has grabbed three awards at the prestigious ‘Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards 2022’.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are an international business awards competition that is open to all organizations in the 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region. The focus of the awards is on recognizing innovation in all its forms.  

The three awards received by the telecom company are as follows;

  • Gold Stevie – Innovative Achievement for its efforts during and post-pandemic era 
  • Silver Stevie - Excellence in Innovation in Consumer Product and Service Industries for m-Faisaa and Moolee services of Ooredoo Maldives 
  • Bronze Stevie – Excellence in Innovation in Technology Industries for m-Faisaa services of Ooredoo Maldives

Commenting on their magnificent win – Ooredoo’s CEO, Managing Director Khalid Al-Hamadi stressed that it was a great honor to receive international recognition for the company’s initiatives that has enabled opportunities for their customers and the community through digital services and innovative solutions.

“Despite the challenges faced due to the pandemic, with much dedication and hard work our team were able to drive innovation and digital adoption by introducing first of its kind services, enriching the lives of the people of the Maldives. I would like to congratulate the entire team who has been tirelessly working with enthusiasm and passion to transform our services to digital means and improve our overall customer experience,” he added.

The telecom company also grabbed two awards during last year’s Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards; Stevie Silver for Most Valuable Corporate Response for COVID-19 response and Bronze Stevie for Excellence in Innovation in Consumer Product and Service Industries for Moolee and m-Faisaa services.

Ooredoo Maldives stressed that its commitment to the people of Maldives will remain a priority – whereas they will continue to act as an enabler towards a transformational era of innovative technologies, driven by network enhancement.
