IATA authorized programs to Avid Thinadhoo campus

Avid College has made the decision to introduce International Air Transport Association (IATA) authorized programmes in their Thinadhoo Campus.

During a ceremony held on May 30, IATA's Regional Training Business Development Manager for South Asia Lokesh Matta announced Avid College becoming an authorized training centre for IATA.

He also handed over the official certified documents to the college during this ceremony.

The Chairman of Avid College Abdulla Mushtaq Rashad said that it was a long term dream of his to introduce IATA programmes in Gaaf Dhaalu Atoll.

He added that the dream has come true, and said that Avid College has once again written itself into history in gold letters.

Avid College currently has permission to run 13 IATA programmes on Male’ and Thinadhoo campuses.

IATA Programmes in Thinadhoo Campus:

-        Assisting Travels with Special Needs

-        Ecommerce in the Travel Industry

-        Foundation in Travel Industry

-        Foundation in Travel and Tourism with Amadeus

-        Foundation in Travel and Tourism with Galileo

-        Foundation in Travel and Tourism with Sabre

-        Foundation in Travel and Tourism with Sabre for the Leadership and Management Training Programme

-        Fundamental Skills in Journey Pricing and Ticketing

-        Global Distribution Systems Fares and Ticketing

-        Amadeus

-        Global Distribution Systems Fares and Ticketing

-        Global Distribution Systems Fares and Ticketing Galileo

-        Saber

-        Managing the Travel Business

-        Social Media Strategy for the Travel Industry, e-learning

-        Travel and Tourism Consultant

As per Avid College, they are currently working on all the official preparation works to be done prior to starting the programmes.
