Two students were injured on Thursday due to an incident where a partition in Ga. Gemanafushi School fell on the students' heads.

Speaking to Sun about the incident, a parent from Gemanafushi school revealed that the incident took place on Thursday morning and that the children injured were a girl and a boy from grade one.

The parent also revealed that while the girl did not sustain any visible injuries, the boy's head was swollen as a result of the incident.

"The school informed the parents way too late even. The injured girls' parents were informed by the school about an hour later. The boy is the son of a school staff."

Moreover, this parent also said that when the Ministry of Education came to know of the incident and called the school's principal Mohamed Sadaam, he was not aware that such an incident had occurred.

Although Sun attempted to reach principal Saddam on his phone to clarify information regarding this incident, he was unreachable.
