Design submission for Islamic Center opens, MVR 1 million prize money

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs opened to the public to send submissions for the design of the Islamic Center, offering prize money of one million allocated for the winners.

According to the ministry, the opportunity of open for all the artists in Maldives, and added that they are open to different and unique submissions.

Moreover, they noted that the design of the Islamic Center located in the second phase of Hulhumale should not be a replica of any other design.

Prize money for the winners of this competition is allocated as below:

-         First prize: MVR 7 lakhs

-         Second prize: MVR 2 lakhs

-         Third prize: MVR 1 lakhs

The Islamic Ministry further detailed that the design must include a prayer area, parking zone, office area, multipurpose hall, seminar room, library, staff canteen, classrooms, commercial area and a recreational area.

Those interested are to submit the application form that is available on the ministry’s website before the deadline of August 25, 2022.
