Police seeks owners of stolen items seized from thieves

Maldives Police Service is seeking the owners of items seized from individuals suspected to be thieves within this month.

Items which police are seeking the owners of are items seized from individuals that were stopped and questioned over suspicions in different areas in Male’ City and Hulhumale’.

The items suspected to be stolen include two electric drills; a Geepas speaker, sound bar, led light; a bag containing clothes; two prop jacks; an electric planer; two pickup batteries and several metal rulers.

“Because the individuals were unable to name the owners of these items, they have now been brought under police custody,” the police had said.

Apart from this, the police also are also seeking the owner of MVR 500 which was dropped near Maldives Islamic Bank on March 21, handed over to them by a civilian.

Police have instructed the owners of these items to call 9660183 and inform them – after which they can retrieve their things from Maafannu Police Station, upon presenting proof of identification.
