Vice President: We always seek to increase convenience for the people

Vice President Faisal Naseem said on Tuesday that the government has always considered ways to increase convenience for the people in all its initiatives. 

He made the comment at the grand reopening of STO People’s Choice on Tuesday evening. 

Faisal said that the entire country was grateful to STO for its service during the most critical period during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

He credited STO for its contribution to ensuring public services went uninterrupted throughout the pandemic. 

“We must acknowledge that STO worked hard to ensure a continued supply of the most essential commodities such as medicine, fuel, onion, eggs and other staples,” he said. 

Faisal also spoke of the key role of private businesses in driving the economy. 

He commended STO for its decision to partner with private businesses and showcase their products at the STO People’s Choice. 

Faisal spoke of the importance of supporting private businesses, and also urged STO to ensure the price of commodities remained affordable during the upcoming Ramadan.
