MD Shareef: 90% of work on STELCO’s flats complete

The Managing Director of STELCO Ahmed Shareef said that 90 percent of the work on flats dedicated for its staff is complete.

Speaking to ‘Sun’, Shareef said that the deadline for the contact will be up in April, and expressed his belief that work will be completed by then.

“However, there are some small that’s that are not in control of the contractor. Even with those things, estimating that people can move after the month of Ramadan.”

He reiterated that all work, including finishing works will be completed within the deadline given to the contractor.

The flats dedicated to STELCO staff are built in Hulhumale Phase II, under the social housing scheme Hiyaa. A total of 360 flats are built into two towers.

There are 72 one-room apartments and 288 three-room apartments.
