STO announces introduction of ‘STO People’s Choice Agents’

State Trading Organization (STO) on Sunday announced the introduction of ‘STO People’s Choice Agents’.

According to STO, a total of 136 agents have been appointed from all over the country.

The agents were given their letters of appointment during a special ceremony by STO’s General Manager Ahmed Shifan.

Speaking at this ceremony, the Managing Director of STO Hussain Amru Mohamed Rashaad said that the company had previously appointed agents for construction and staples businesses, and gained many benefits from that.

“Because of this, there is a decrease in freight charges of boats. That is, a base cargo is gained. We are giving freight charges from godown to the island’s jetty.”

Speaking on behalf of the agents, the owner of ‘Bunka’ shop in Dh. Kudahuvadhoo Hussain Hamdhee said that bringing STO’s businesses closer to people will bring a lot of ease.

He further expressed hope that in the future, even easier means will be available.

Currently, there are 256 agents operating for STO’s staples, and 56 businesses registered as construction agents.
