The harbor development projects at HDh. Nellaidhoo and N. Landhoo have been completed.
The company undertaking the projects, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), said that Nellaidhoo harbor development project was completed on last Thursday, whilst Landhoo harbor development project was completed yesterday.
Nellaidhoo harbor development project, valued at MVR 55.4 million, was contracted to MTCC by the Planning Ministry at the end of August 2019.
As part of the project, the company undertook dredging and reclamation operations of 62,863cbm, breakwater construction of 398m, quay wall construction of 204m, revetment construction of 50m, groin construction of 103m, installation of 1,812sqm paved area, installation of navigation lights, streetlights and a ramp under this project.
Landhoo harbor development project was also awarded to MTCC by Planning Ministry. The project is valued at MVR 35.60 million.
MTCC undertook dredging and excavation operations of 25,000cbm; the construction of a 227m quay wall; a 387m breakwater; revetment construction of 73m; groin construction of 80m; the installation of navigation lights, streetlight and a ramp as well as the installation of 1,750sqm of paved area
Physical works under the project commenced at the end of August 2021.
Within the past three years, MTCC has completed a total of 25 harbor development projects.
