13-year-old girl kidnapped from Hulhumale’ found

Maldives Police Service has confirmed that the young girl who was kidnapped from Hulhumale’ in the early hours of Tuesday – has been found.

Police said that they were reported the case of a missing 13-year-old girl from Hulhumale’ last night, at around 00:50am.

They further detailed that the girl was found this morning, at around 06:17am.

Noting that they were investigating the matter further, Police declined to give any further details regarding the case – including why the girl was kidnapped.

Whilst this new case has surfaced – in October, a woman was who lives in suburban Hulhumale’ was grabbed by a man as she entered the lift to go downstairs her building, and had forcibly taken her to his home in Male’ where he beat her.
