The President’s Office has announced its decision to allow government employees to resume working from their respective offices starting from next Sunday.

While the return to offices has been allowed, the President’s Office stressed that all employees must adhere to the guidelines publicized in the 19th directive released by the President's Office on July 1.

Accordingly, employees are encouraged to ensure they complete their work within regular hours and avoid staying at the office over time.

Offices are encouraged to close by 16:00 at the latest if work after regular hours are absolutely necessary. Institutions that follow shift-duty patterns will be exempt from this rule.

In order to reduce physical interactions, government officers are also encouraged to continue providing services online where possible. They are also urged to identify which other services could be provided online, and subsequently implement and regularize such means.

Implementation of good hygiene practices and ensure social distancing, per the measures outlined in the relevant Civil Service Commission Circular, developed in consultation with the Health Protection Agency is also stressed upon.
