The number of active COVID-19 cases at GDh. Nadella has fallen below 112.

Nadella Council President Mohamed Anshau told Sun today that although over 200 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 on the island – the number of active cases has fallen below 112.

“Starting from the first day, we had taken strict restrictive measures. We are very thankful for the cooperation given by the residents of the island in adhering to these measures,” he added.

Anshau also assured that restrictive measures on the island will continue to be enforced for as long as there are active cases on the island.

In this regard, restrictive measures currently in place include the enforcement of curfew hours – and a ban on being outside of homes unless for an essential need.

Anshau also noted that two elderly patients from Nadella have been transferred to GDh. Thinadhoo COVID Facility for further treatment – adding remaining patients on the island are generally in good health otherwise.
