Maldives records 266 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 266 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 72,944.

According to HPA, the new cases include; 41 cases from the greater Male’ region, 105 cases from residential islands outside Male’, eight cases from operational resorts, and 112 cases from islands under development.

Meanwhile, 232 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 68,429.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 4,295 active cases.

There are 31 patients in hospitals.

5,264 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
