COVID-19: 145 new cases, 61 from Male’ region

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Tuesday, announced 145 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 72,294.

According to HPA, the 145 new cases include; 61 cases from the greater Male’ region, 77 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 7 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 359 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 67,507.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 4,569 active cases.

There are 39 patients in hospitals.

4,548 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 145 new infections this Tuesday, 1,397 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

June 22: 145 cases

June 21: 253 cases

June 20: 187 cases

June 19: 211 cases

June 18: 142 cases

June 17: 218 cases

June 16: 241 cases

Maldives has recorded 207 COVID-19 deaths.
