President Solih meets with salon owners

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with salon owners in the Maldives. 

The online meeting was regarding discussions over the challenges faced by salon owners and operators in the Maldives due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions imposed. 

President's Office Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez said that the President assured salon owners that the restriction easements would be introduced keeping in mind the difficulties and challenges faced by salon owners. 

Salons in the Greater Male' Area were ordered to be closed temporarily on May 6, due to the rising cases of COVID-19. 

The government has announced recently that discussions were now underway to introduce easements to the restrictions in the Maldives. The easements are to be introduced sometime this week.
