COVID-19: 432 new cases, active cases fall to 21,000

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 432 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 66,948.

According to HPA, the new cases include; 249 cases from the greater Male’ region, 154 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 29 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 1,771 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 45,730.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 21,032 active cases.

There are 213 patients in hospitals. 4,056 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
