MWSC begins work on Henbadhoo water project

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has begun work on establishing a water system in N. Henbadhoo.

MWSC is currently working on building the facility to install the water plant, and installing pipes for the main water network.

The project in Henbadhoo involves establishing an 83.4-kilometer main water pipeline network, construction of an RO facility, installation of two RO plants, and three water tanks to store water.

Additional work includes installation of water meters in households, providing water connections, and supplying clean and safe drinking water.

MWSC will also be establishing facilities needed to check water quality.

Henbadhoo water project was contracted to MWSC by Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Ministry for MVR 41.3 million.

The company is required to complete the project within 15 months.
