Young man found bleeding in Hulhumale’ street

A young man is being treated at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after being found bleeding in a street in suburban Hulhumale’.

The young man – identified by police as a 21-year-old Maldivian male – was found in the street Nirolhu Magu 6. He is believed to have fallen from a building in the street.

Police said that the young man was unconscious when taken to IGMH.

When asked for a comment, IGMH’s media official told Sun on Saturday night he will provide information after checking the details.

IGMH has yet to provide details.

The case is under investigation by the police.

However, the police have yet to take the young man’s statement as he continues to be under treatment.

A video has been circulating over social media of the young man as he lies bleeding profusely on the street.

He video shows the young man, wearing only his boxers, and covered in blood, taken away on a stretcher by police and medical workers.

It is unclear if his fall was accidental or deliberate.
