COVID-19 death toll in Maldives increases to 119

The Maldives has recorded yet another death related to COVID-19, bringing the grand total to 119 deaths. 

Sources have stated that the deceased is a 56-year old local male who was admitted at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility for COVID-19. 

This is the third death related to the virus today. 

As of recently, positive case numbers and even deaths related to the virus in the Maldives have increased significantly.

The nation is amongst a fourth wave of the virus with the total number of confirmed cases recorded beyond 50,000 and active cases also numbering higher than 20,000.
