Monitoring status of Kulhudhuffushi lifted

Monitoring mechanisms placed on the northern city of Kulhudhuffushi due to COVID-19 have been lifted.

Kulhudhuffushi was brought under monitoring mechanisms on March 24 after an individual brought into the hospital of Kulhudhuffushi from Lh. Naifaru tested positive for COVID-19. 

A signed order of the Director-General of Public health issued today read that there was no further reason to keep the city under monitoring mechanisms. 

Kulhudhuffushi was placed under monitoring after the individual from Naifaru, referred to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital tested positive. The individual had traveled to the island of R. Ungoofaaru previously. 

Kulhudhuffushi is home to the regional hospital and is frequented by visitors from all over the northern region of the nation for medical care.
