The Bank of Maldives (BML) has advised customers that it will not be contacting any customers to deposit funds in one bank account to another due to system errors.

BML said that attempted scams of people contacting customers to request them to move funds from one account to another due to a system error had been observed more as of lately.

A statement issued by the bank today read that it will not be contacting customers for any personal information and would not ask customers to move funds in one account to another due to a system error for any reason.

BML also said that it will not be contacting customers through mobile phone numbers and advised against responding to such calls.

BML also advised customers against sharing account details with anyone and asked customers to report any such calls and to inform the bank of any instances where card information is shared with anyone through 3330200.
