Bank of Maldives (BML) has urged customers to keep their mailing addresses updated in order to ensure seamless card delivery.
BML’s Head of Brand and Marketing Strategy Mohamed Saeed said the bank places utmost importance on in ensuring safe delivery of cash cards to customers. He cited the biggest obstruction in delivering cards to customers as customers not residing at the mailing address they have provided to the bank.
“We have also noticed cases of permanent address being put down as mailing address. As such, we urge customers to update the address via internet banking or mobile banking app,” he appealed.

To ensure the card’s security, Saeed explained that the card will remain inactive and no transactions can be made with it until it is delivered to the customer.
“Only the customer can activate the card. The bank will not activate the card for customers. Upon receipt, the card can be activated via internet banking or mobile banking app,” he said.
Card delivery will only be available to customers residing in the greater Male’ area. Hence, card delivery will be carried out by BML staff for customers residing in atolls.
