Man hospitalized after nearly drowning in Hulhumale’

A man has been taken to the hospital for treatment after nearly drowning in the swimming track area in suburban Hulhumale’.

A police spokesperson said the incident was reported to the police at approximately 08:00 am this Saturday.

The victim – identified only as a male – has been taken to the Hulhumale’ Hospital for treatment.

The police said they are looking into the incident.

The case comes less than a day after a five-year-old child was found dead in the lagoon in R. Fainu.
