COVID-19: Maldives confirms 11 new cases, 7 from epicenter capital

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 11 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 13,379.

With the new cases, Maldives has a total of 593 active cases. 

Meanwhile, 25 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 12,731.

There are a total of 62 patients in the hospital. 

HPA specified that 1,854 samples were collected for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Health officials have so far collected 271,346 samples for the virus.

48 COVID-19 patients have died from complications.
