Business tycoon and MP for Maamigili Qasim Ibrahim has married again.

Qasim, who is the leader of the Jumhooree Party, held his wedding party at Sun Island Resort, which is owned and managed by his company Villa Hotels and Resorts. It is reported that the woman Qasim (70) married was of a significantly younger age than him.

The woman has been named by sources as Raniya Abdul Haamidhaa from A. Dh. Maamigili. She is reportedly aged 21.

With the new marriage, Qasim now has four wives, the maximum number of marriages a Muslim man can have at the same time, as prescribed in Islam.

Qasim’s most recent marriage comes at a time of rumors circulating that he is on bad terms with arguably the most well known of his wives, Minister for Transport Aishath Nahula.
