Missing speedboat near Athuruga reported

A speedboat anchored in the lagoon of A.A Athuruga has been reported as lost.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) requested travelers from the area to be alert after the missing boat was reported around 4:39 in the morning.

MNDF also added that the boat was not a registered one, however, requested any information regarding the boat to be shared with the authorities. 

Meteorological services has also warned travelers to remain alert over the spell of bad weather currently being experienced in the Maldives.
