Home quarantined individual in Nolhivaram tests positive for COVID-19

An individual in home-quarantine on the island of H. Dh. Nolhivaram has tested positive for COVID-19.

The council of the island said that the individual had arrived on July 6. Two others are in quarantine at the same residence. 

Samples from the individual were collected before the individual departed from Male’. HPA informed that the individual had tested positive for the virus today, according to the Council.

Samples from the remaining two individuals in quarantine at the residence have now been collected by the authorities.

Maldives has so far confirmed 2,517 cases of COVID-19. Previously, COVID-19 cases were identified from individuals in quarantine on the island of G. A. Maamendhoo.
