Economic Ministry has announced that delivery hours in the capital Male’ City which is under lockdown will be extended to 23:00.
Restaurants and shops permitted by Police are allowed to conduct delivery operations for online orders and phone calls during the lockdown order in the capital in light of COVID-19.
In an announcement, the Ministry said that the customers can be served inside shops from 9:00 to 21:00. Delivery services from hotels, café’s and restaurants, as well as canteens, are to be conducted from 9:00 to 23:00. Online order delivery services will be permitted during these hours as well.
The orders will be in place until further notice from the HPA or the Ministry starting from June 1. Police currently permit three individuals from each household to go outdoors for shopping purposes for two hours every week.
Safety measures such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance are still advised by the authorities.
