12 employees of ADK test positive for COVID-19

A total of 12 employees from ADK Hospital in Male' City has been tested positive for COVID-19. The cases are among the announced cases today.

Managing Director of ADK Ahmed Afaal stated to Sun that the 12 employees had tested positive yesterday and had been taken to an isolation facility.

The employees had resided in the accommodation block of the hospital in Hulhumale’. Afaal stated that the employees were support staff of the hospital. 

He added that the employees had not been in contact with any patient that visited the hospital. 

The Maldives has reported 45 cases of the virus today so far. The total number of virus patients in the country currently stands at 836.
