National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has requested businesses and employees in the country to not allow employees to step outside for work if they are symptomatic.

NEOC medical officer and epidemiologist Dr. Ibrahim Afzal made the appeal after noting that some businesses in the country have been doing so. He added that it was imperative that all businesses in the country remain alert for symptoms of the virus from their employees. Dr. Afzal said that from the cases identified in the capital, it was noticed that some people had attended work despite being symptomatic.

“That should not be allowed in any way. If they are responsible for them (employees) they should ensure that no one attending work is symptomatic. If there are symptoms, they should notify us immediately, and refrain from attending work.” Said Dr. Afzal.

The doctor also noted that the delivery work and transportation of goods in the country were sometimes conducted without the proper precautions and advised to take the necessary measures.
