The government of Maldives has announced that three Maldivian students quarantined in Russia had tested negative for the Covid-19 virus.

The students were quarantined after symptoms of the virus were exhibited by the students. Two had previously tested negative for the virus and the government stated that it was waiting for the results of the third student who now has tested negative for the virus.

In a press conference tonight, government spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez stated that the previous two students had tested negative twice.

The Maldivian embassy in Germany, as well as the Foreign Ministry, are now monitoring the situation with the students.
