Three arrested with drugs in Vaadhoo

Three people have been arrested in G.Dh Vaadhoo with drugs.

Police stated that the three were arrested in an operation carried out on intelligence received. Reports of the men who were arrived on the island in a dinghy from an island under development were received, according to police.

Those arrested are all male and are aged 22, 30 and 34. According to police, one of the men jumped into the sea upon seeing police officers. After diving in the area, police discovered plastic bags containing suspected drugs.

The men were presented to the magistrate court in Vaadhoo and detained under a court order for 15 days. The case is under investigation by the Vaadhoo police station.
