Records released by Health Protection Agency (HPA) for the month of January shows a drop in number of dengue cases and a rise in flu cases.
70 cases of dengue fever were reported in January, a sharp fall from the 215 cases reported in December.
While the number of dengue cases may have fallen, HPA has urged the public to remain vigilant in taking preventive measures against dengue and other mosquito-borne disease.
In contrast to the drop in dengue cases, the number of flu cases have risen from 18,969 cases in December to 21,248 cases in January.
HPA has urged good hygiene practices such as frequent handwashing using soap and water, and covering the nose and mouth with a tissue or handkerchief while coughing or sneezing.
People have also been advised against unnecessary hospital visits.
