MDP opens complaint submission for council election primaries

MDP has opened the chance to submit complaints or objections to the voter’s list for its primary to select candidates for the upcoming local council elections.

Complaints can be submitted until January 10, 2020. The primaries are scheduled to be held on January 31. Complaints can be submitted via email to [email protected].

Applications to contest in the primary for the local council elections are also open until January 10. Only members of MDP who were with the party by the end of last year can take part in the vote or contest in the primary, according to party regulations.

The party stated that the final voter's list will be published on January 15 and that candidates will be announced on January 13.

The local council elections are to be held on April 4.
