Maldives Police Service has announced vacancies at its Special Constabulary.
The vacancy announcement, posted by the police on the Government Gazette on Tuesday, reads that it’s looking for recruits for the position of Special Constabulary Constable.
The deadline for application is set at January 30.
Basic requirements include being between the age of 18 to 30 years, and a minimum height of 5’3” for males and 5’ for females.
Educational qualifications required are either minimum 3 C-grade passes in secondary education exams, or minimum two C-grade passes in secondary education exams coupled with completion of a level-3 course or higher accredited by Maldives Qualification Authority.
Applicants must also have a clean record free of a crime for which a punishment is prescribed under Islamic Sharia, or theft, fraud, embezzlement, drug abuse or drug trafficking over the past five years.
They also must not have received drug rehabilitation services over the past five years, must not be a registered member of any political party, and must be physically fit enough to complete Special Constabulary training.
The Special Constabulary or the Police Reserve Force was established in 2013.
