Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) will be closed on December 31, 2019, and will reopen on January 4, 2020, for auditing purposes.

The closure means that December 30 will be the last working day of the bank in 2019 and January 5 will be the first working day of MIB in 2020, according to the bank.

These closures are an annual occurrence for auditing purposes and the Bank of Maldives as well as central bank Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has also announced similar closures.
