The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has received the Islamic Finance Forum South Asia (IFFSA)’s award for Islamic Bank of the Year – South Asia 2022-23.
The 8th IFFSA Awards was held on Thursday in Sri Lanka. It saw the presentation of 25 awards in three categories.
MIB said the award was a testament to the bank’s unwavering commitment to providing Sharia-compliant financial solutions that empower the Maldivian community.
IFFSA Awards is open to all Islamic finance institutions in the South Asia region. The MIB has previously also received several IFFSA awards.
Established in 2011, the MIB is the sole Islamic bank in the Maldives.
