Police investigate death threat against Judge Shujau Usman

The police have launched an investigation into a death threat issued against the Chief Judge of High Court, Shujau Usman.

According to the High Court, the death threat was issued while the judge had been on vacation in K. Maafushi.

Sun has been informed the threat was issued by a man who came into a local café while Shujau Usman had been enjoying a coffee with a Maafushi magistrate. The man reportedly threatened to attack and kill the judge.

The High Court confirms the incident has been reported to the police.

The police were not immediately available for comment regarding the case.
