2 arrested for attempted sexual assault in L. Gan

Two men have been arrested from L. Gan for trespassing into a private residence in the island’s Thundi district, threatening the women in the residence, and attempting to sexually assault them.

The crime took place at approximately 2:30 am this Tuesday, and is currently under investigation by the police.

The two men arrested in the case have been identified by the police as a 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old man – both Maldivian citizens.

Both men were arrested from the scene of the crime.
