Three deputy chancellors have been appointed to the Maldives National University (MNU) today.
Those appointed to the post are:
They were appointed in a vote taken by the University Council and their letters of appointment were awarded in a ceremony held today.

Dr. Aishath Shehenaaz who was appointed as deputy chancellor is a teacher with a Ph.D. in mathematics and was active in the education sector for ten years. She also served as the ambassador from the Maldives to two countries separately and on the MNU council as well. She is also one of the few Maldivians with a Postdoctoral fellowship after her Ph.D.
Aishath Shaheen has worked in the Faculty of Health Science for 27 years and is a scholar in public health. She served as the dean of the faculty and is familiar with the University and the faculty.
Hussain Haleem has worked in MNU for nearly 33 years and in finance for 20 years. Haleem served as the Vice-Chancellor on a previous occasion and last served in the role of the head librarian.
