The Vice President of Maldives Faisal Naseem has stated that work is underway to raise the standard of education in the Maldives.
While speaking at the opening ceremony of the International Teachers Conference in Addu city today the Vice president stated that the current administration would bring a revolution to the education industry.
He also stated that the country needs to observe how and what kind of policies and curriculums other countries who succeeded in the education sector used and must find out how the Maldives can utilize this for students.
The Vice President gave Finland as an example of this and stated that the country's education policy was designed to develop the intellect of the students and develop the education sector of the country. The vice president stated that this was the reason why Finland's education sector was noted throughout the world.
The main purpose of the Teachers Conference in Addu city is to increase the involvement in the education sector on an individual, national and world scale level, and present ideas and hold discussions between experts in the sector.
