Health Minister Ameen Abdulla is scheduled to appear at Parliament on Monday while Transport Minister Aishath Nahula is scheduled to attend on Wednesday according to the Parliament's schedule.
Minister Ameen was asked to attend to answer the questions of R. Maduvvari MP Adam Shareef, regarding the health center in his constituency in R. Meedhoo.
It was MP Abdulla Jabir of Kaashidhoo that requested the attendance of Minister Nahula, regarding the parking tickets issued to the public without providing the necessary parking space in Male' city.
Minister Nahula was asked to attend the Parliament at the beginning of last month, however, she failed to attend when the 14-day notice given to her by the parliament lapsed.
Secretary-General of the Parliament Ms. Aishath Niusha stated in a news conference held today that the parliament has scheduled for the questioning of Minister Ameen during tomorrow's session and Minister Nahula during Wednesday's session.
She also stated that the first reading of two resolutions and three bills will be underway this week. The resolutions were submitted by Kaashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir regarding imported energy and Government-owned companies.
The three bills scheduled for discussion are one by Manadhoo MP Ahmed Haaroon regarding an amendment to the National social security insurance bill and one by Mid-Maafannu MP regarding the registration of companies. The last bill to be scheduled for discussion at the Parliament this week will be by Ihavandhoo MP Mohamed Shifau regarding fishing.
