Man arrested from L. Atoll for sexual abuse of 10-year-old

A suspect has been arrested for the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old girl in L. Atoll.

Maldives Police Service says the case was reported to the agency on Tuesday, July 23.

The suspect in the case, identified as a 51-year-old male, was arrested by the police at approximately 6:30 pm on Wednesday, July 24.

Maldives Police Service declined to disclose any further details regarding the case as it involves a child victim.
